Importing video to iMovie

This is how the camera connects to the computer

This is what the iMovie screen looks like when the camera is properly connected and it is ready to import

As the clips load they will fill in the panes on the right and be numbered for reference. You can change the number to name the scene by double clicking on the text below the clip. The size of the clips is determined by when you turned the camera on and off while shooting.
