(2) On a prepared slide of a pileus locate: trama (central part of the gill); hymenium; basidia. Focus on a basidium using high power. Of how many cells is it composed? Find the terminal branch-like structures (sterigmata), to which are attached the basidiospores. How many basidiospores are in each basidium. Note differences in spore color among different species.
