The Asian Student Union (ASU) Internship Program offers Asian American Studies students at San Francisco State University firsthand exposure to the social, cultural, historic and political issues of the SF Bay Area Asian American community. This Internship program is a program geared towards opening the mind, exposing it to the Asian American culture and possibly learning a little more about one's self. The ASU Internship Program contributes to the development of the Asian American community by producing strong community leaders and organizers through offering their interns opportunities to participate in the management and facilitation of ASU community events and activities. ASU interns will work to address the many local and global issues and challenges faced by Asian Americans today. After this 10-week program, we hope you will walk away with heightened leadership skills, a greater understanding of your own culture as well as your fellow interns, and a deeper meaning of what it means to be Asian, even if you aren't.
