Mission Statement:
Your doorway to diverse careers in the field of Accounting The ASO offers its members the opportunity to meet with representatives from the business world, private firms, management accounting, public accounting, internal auditing, government, industry and taxation. Speakers' presentations, workshops, and office visits are just a few events that ASO offers its members. The Accounting Students Organization links its members with representatives from private firms, government, industry and the not for-profit sector, working in the various sectors of the profession, including managerial accounting, public accounting, internal audit and taxation. Speaker presentations, workshops and office visits are just a few examples of the kinds of events ASO organizes exclusively for its members.
The Accounting Students' Organization is affiliated with leading professional associations, including the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). We also work closely with the Association of Government Accountants (AGA). We encourage ASO members to also become members of the student chapters of IMA, IIA, ISACA, and AGA, as these affiliates provide students with opportunities to attend professional functions at which they can network.
