How to Become a Member

Membership Cost: $25 per year

  1. Students can sign up to be a member by clicking on "Join Now" on the navigation bar.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and select your member type
  3. Create a username (letters and numbers only), enter your first and last name, and select San Francisco State Univ. in the scroll down bar
  4. Click "Register"
  5. You should now see "Undergraduate - 1 year - $25"
  6. Click "Accept this Membership and Continue"
  7. Enter requires information in Account Information, Personal Information, Additional Information (optional), Home/Personal Contact Information, and Work/School Information. Please use your mail.sfsu.edu address.
  8. Read through "Terms of Use" and then click on "I Accept the Terms of Use"
  9. Enter Payment Information
  10. You're a member!
  11. Forward Arthur Huynh (VP of Membership) your confirmation email at sfsuascendmembership@gmail.com so that we can add you to our chapter mailing list."

Exceptional Members

To gain the status of exceptional member please participate/attend:
  • Welcome Night
  • Two panel discussions
  • End of the semester banquet
  • A combination of eight technical presentations, mock interviews, and office visits.
  • One community service or fundraising event.
  • One social event.

Qualification

  1. Membership shall be open to those students majoring or pursuing a career in accounting, finance, or business-related fields
  2. Membership is restricted to SFSU students

All members must remain in "good standing." Any member in "good standing" for the purpose of voting, nominating, and candidacy must abide by the folowing:

  • Promote a high standard of ethics
  • Adhere to all of the school's academic and student policies
  • For Ascend Student Chapter officers, maintain at least a 2.5 GPA to be eligible for the respective position on the Executive Board.

Outstanding Members
