Many scientists, together with artists, have recently begun to explore such developments. They now consider their results of such experiments to be fruitful not only for science and the arts, but also for society as a whole. As examples, I would like to show some works and thoughts by a few artists and scientists. The incredible advantage of employing fractals in your own work, is the vast realm of variants you can, sort of magically, pull out of simply one idea or concept.
Let us start by looking at sculptural ideas developed by Tim Stilson, and at the same time connect with Julien Sprott, professor of Physics at the University at Wisconsin.Let us also, look at Robinson's beautiful, geometric sculptures. Observe the richness of variations that are possible both in Stilsons and Robinsons work. The human mind originates the basic idea for the piece of art, and then the fractals help you play with possibilities and surprises you would never have thought of..
The main elements for structuring art forms fall within the following categries:
.
" Smaller rhythms are imbedded within larger rhythms, and those within larger still.
The short biochemical cycles of cells of the human heart waves are embedded within
within the circadian rhythm of the whole body, and they are all embedded within the
larger waves of weeks, months and years."
Looking at fractal images (see examples) superwaves spiral in all
directions as an inherent continuum of waves nested
within other waves. Thus everything is affecting everything else simultaneously
and casually, while everything is changing, throughout all scales.
Superwaves is order and chaos as Dardik points out. "At any scale, the greater the superwaving acceleration of the inner waves, the sharper the slope, of the larger wave within which it is nested. Similarly, the sharper the slope of the larger wave, the greater the acceleration of the inner waves
