Within Art- Art Therapy
My art project proposes the recording of brain activity of multiple art therapy patients before, during, and after undergoing therapy and the creative process. After the brain scanning data is collected, images of their brain activity would be projected against the wall of a gallery. Concurrently, images of these patients' artwork that was created (while having their brain activity recorded ) could be adjacently displayed on the gallery wall. http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~art511_h/emerging07/nlmaster/artprop1finished/artproposal1finished.html |

Artifacts
Aesthetics of Consumerism: A dynamic display that illustrates the purchases I've made during the course of 2006. What picture is created of the person doing the buying? What patterns emerge from seemingly random behavior? Is the buyer's behavior random? http://www.brazengirl.com/project1/artifacts.html |

socially
powered art - Ziya Aktas
Although art has been a definition around for ages, since internet became popular, it has a new definition. Now, art can be socially contributed and viewed easily. Art is usually has been seen as something that comes from an individual or just a group of people who see themselves as artists or "creative people." However, this definition of art drastically changes when it comes to social computing. http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~ziya/art511one/pro1/index.html |

Center
for the Attainment of Non Human and Animal Consciousness
Overview of this organization (set in future around 2025): "The Freedom of Thought Act, along with current technology, gives you the freedom of choice to temporarily or permanently alter your 21st-Century-homo-sapien-limited perception of the world. We no longer arbitrarily ponder or create philosophical theories about animal consciousness.Today, we can temporarily transform a person's cognition through innovative brain simulations (not to be confused with virtual reality which does not directly hook up to the human brain and relies only on the human 5 senses, primarily sight). These new options can lead us to progressive human-nonhuman relations in the future. These simulations of non human consciousness help to break down the divide between humans and all other life on Earth. It can remind us that every species on Earth has evolved from the same primordial ancestor. We are all inadvertently linked!" http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~art511_h/emerging07/nlmaster/nick%20animal/nick%20animal/nickanimalconsciousness6.html |
