ASCII CODE COMMUNICATION

(American Standard Code of Information Interchange)

Send your messages by using ASCII Code. There are no limits, and people can make up as many sentences as they want. In addition, they can send numeric messages.





  • Preparation and Equipment

    One candle per person and bright colored handkerchief. Candles indicate "o" and handkerchieves indicate "1" in Binary system. Senders need to move their equipment from up and down. Also this experiment needs decoders on either side.





  • Result

    Overall, this experiment was very efficient and fun. Due to our lack of practice and planning, we had hard time sending our messages through. However, we believe that well thought-out plan and sufficent understanding of ASCII Code would enhance this experiment.
