History

Alpha Gamma Delta was founded on May 30, 1904 at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.  Eleven women built the foundation for a fraternity that has grown to obtain international status with over 123,000 members and 176 chapters currently spanning the United States and Canada.

Georgia Otis Chipman- First business manager of the Quarterly
Emily Helen Butterfield- Heraldry authority
 

Alpha Gamma Delta came to San Francisco State University on March 10, 1991.

On March 10, 2001, the Delta Pi chapter celebrated ten wonderful years at SFSU.
