About the Author:

Stephen Wilson is head of the Conceptual Design/Information Arts Department at San Francisco State University. He is an internationally recognized artist who creates interactive installations exploring emerging technologies such as hypermedia, information design, artificial intelligence, biological sensors, and robotics. He has published many articles and several books including Using Computers to Create Art and Multimedia Design with HyperCard. He has assisted schools, organizations, museums and businesses to create Web sites and has been a principal in National Science Foundation projects to explore the use of the Web. The book resulted in part from work conducted as artist-in-residence at Xerox PARC research center.
