Links in Economic Development and International Economics

The single best resource for economists is Resources for Economists on the Internet maintained at my alma mater, Washington University. 

For students of Development and International Economics, I would suggest the following:

• The World Bank has the single best web site on Economic development.  Even if you don't agree with their policies, they have an enormous staff of excellent economists whose primary concern is economic development.  You could easily spend a day looking through all the material on their page.

• The Asia Crisis Homage has an enormous amount of material on the Asian Crisis.   

• The Official Paul Krugman Webpage has most of the writings of one of the most prolific economists of his generation.

• The Institute for International Economics has a number of interesting books and policy papers.

• Development Economics and Economic Development has some of the same links that I have above and more.

• The International Monetary Fund is the place that everyone loves to hate, but they do have a great deal of good academic research, some of which is (diplomatically) very critical of the IMF.

• All of the Federal Reserve Banks have excellent web pages and publications. Go straight to publications for the best information.

• A good source for international data is the Penn World Tables page.
