Documentary:
"Stories untold: Memories of Korean War survivors"

Grace Yoo (Producer) and Sul Gi Kim (Director)
To most Americans, the Korean War is most often known as the "forgotten" war. The Korean War has often been told from a military, ideological and political perspective. During the war, 9 million Koreans became refugees, 4 million individuals were killed, and 11 million individuals became separated from their families. Despite the toll this war had on civilians, there is little information of the impact of this war on civilians, specifically women. Both Grace Yoo and Sulgi Kim bring voice to the stories and memories of older Koreans who survived this war. Moreover, they seek to bring a woman's voice to this war that has been ignored.
