Welcome Back - 2005!

WELCOME to the Fall 2005 semester from the Comparative Literature Student Association (CLSA)

For those of you unfamiliar with our association, we are a group of graduate students committed to keeping you informed of all possible activities taking place that may encourage you and support you in accomplishing your goals at San Francisco State University. We also publish a yearly journal called Portals in which you can find interesting articles written by SFSU students as well as some written by students from other universities. However, our association is not completely and solely academic. We also try to include fun activities that provide you with ways to escape from the pressures of studying and that allow you to get to know your fellow students outside the classroom. Listed below are the upcoming activities that you should put on your calendar.

In the beginning of the Spring semester, we will be having meetings for those interested in reading and editing positions for Portals. We will keep you informed of those dates as we know them. We are also looking into having several speakers come in both the fall and the spring semesters. We will keep you informed as we are aware of the exact dates for these speakers.

Have a great semester and hope to see you at our meetings,

Elisabeth Lore
