Annual Conference in Atlanta

Posted: June 21st, 2014

Every year, Beta Alpha Psi hosts a national conference at a different location, with over 200 chapters in attendance. Conferences consist of chapter presentations, competitions, keynote speakers, seminars, and networking opportunities. Attending conferences is not just a great experience for our members-- it is also essential for continued improvement and growth as a chapter. Members learn what is working for other chapters, while picking up new and useful ideas.

This year, Beta Chi will send four officers to Atlanta, Georgia to participate:
Yacquelin Cervantes, VP of Public Relations,
Kensie Lee, VP of Technical Presentaions,
Ngoc (Natalie) Duong, VP of Alumni Relations,
and Antonio Jarek Fernandes, Executive Vice President.

Yacquelin, Kensie, and Natalie will give a presentation on our mentorship program, which has been active for just over a year. Antonio will participate in Project Run With It, a case competition in which teams come up with solutions to problems faced by a non-profit from the area.

New Committee System

Posted: June 21st, 2014

This coming fall, a new, more formalized committee system will be implemented. Geared towards candidates, it will both increase the effectiveness of our chapter and help to incorporate those newest to the organization. There will be two committees-- one for events and one for fundraising. This system furthers our objective of providing leadership opportunities to all members.
