CAs are individual grid coordinates (pixels) who have "fitness" parameters in the form of each individual's ability to live/die based on it's environment (the state of each surrounding cell). The resultant interactions appear to us as movement on the screen. (read moravech or whatever that guy's name is). Depending on various factors, number of coordinates, relationships between coordinates (closer, further), color, and stuff can reflect the same on/off status of Conway's "Game of Life." Some of them eventually end -- what will the resultant shapes be at the end of each run because of their differing fitness/lifeanddeath parameters? I'm going to make a version of the Game of life in which 2D shapes will reflect the relationships of their coordinates in order to visualize the changing states of each point. The user will define the rules that define the state each point.
