Personal Area Networks

Personal Action Networks (PAN) are a technology that use the electrical conductivity of the human body as a data network.  Experimental extensions include research into communication between persons by touch and human walking as power source. Originally developed by Thomas Zimmerman (and others) at MIT's Media Lab. Now supported by IBM Almaden research lab.
