I teach: Art and Archaeology of Ancient Egypt: CLAR 500 in the
fall semester. Language and Literature of Ancient Egypt: CLAR 502
in the spring semester.

I lead a three week travel-study group to Egypt, leaving January
3rd, 2001. This is sponsored by SFSU College of Extended Learning
and offers two units of credit in Classics.

I am the curator of the Sutro Egyptian Collection which is owned
by the Department of Classics, and housed in the Humanities
Building at San Francisco State University.
The Spring Exhibit
Selected Artifacts from the Sutro Egyptian Collection
Displayed from April 16, 2001 to May 11, 2001: 11AM to
4PM, Monday through Friday in the Becker Colonna Gallery in the
Humanities Building, Room 510.
This exhibit is prepared by the students in the Museum
Studies Program and highlights an extraordinary triple-nesting mummy
set, scarabs, jewelry, pottery, a bronze mirror, and many other items
of daily life.
