Eighth
International Business
and Economy Conference
IBEC 2009
Themes and
topics
Emerging Markets in an Interdependent World:
India and China
Rapid changes in
the global economy present continuing challenges
for educators, as well as for business and
government leaders. The political and economic
rules are changing due to such developments as
acceptance of China into the WTO and ever stronger
regional cooperation, the advent of e-business, the
widespread use of the Internet, and challenges in
governance and corporate behavior.
Strategic
alliances, networks and partnerships span
political, sectoral and geographical borders. These
changes are occurring across a variety of
functional borders. The objective of this
conference is to provide a forum for scholars
analyzing the strategic challenges faced by firms
in the global arena. In addition,
cross-disciplinary submissions are
encouraged.
