2006 Bay Area Conservation Biology Symposium
The
Graduate Student Council in Biology is a student
run organization which strives to:
1)
to provide a group through which graduate students may receive announcments,
express concerns, seek advice, and/or make recommendations to the department,
2) provide funding for specific graduate student endeavors, and
3) to contribute to the cohesion of the Biology Department Community.
At
present the majority of GSCB funds are used to provide travel grants to graduate
students presenting at scientific conferences.
Membership:
GSCB membership is open to any Biology Department graduate student interested
in participating. We would like to have a student group that is representative
of all members of the Biology Department so, if no one in your lab is a member,
please consider joining. See announcements for times of GSCB meetings and
