SUBMITTING
PAPERS TO EX POST FACTO
The editors of Ex Post
Facto seek papers for publication displying original scholarship
that may be interdisciplinary, but should be predominantly
historical in focus. Papers previously submitted for class work are
acceptable, as are outside projects. Editors select articles
according to style, content, and originality, and work with writers
to bring their writing to a higher lever. The submission process is
a learning experience and a great opportunity to improve your
work.
Sara Ruth

Ex Post
Facto is also soliciting Book Reviews, Movie Reviews and Museum Exhibit Reviews.
Book Reviews
should follow the guidelines above, but should be only 3-6 pages in
length. Books should be a sample of recent historical literature --
again, they may be interdisciplinary, but should be predominantly
historical in nature. Reviewers should write thoughtful, informed
critiques that clearly state the purpose, thesis, and main arguments
of the book, evaluate strengths and weaknesses, and discuss it
within its historiographical context.
History 700 is a highly
recommended prerequisite for reviewers.
The Movie and Museum Reviews must be completed just prior to publication, probably over the summer. If you are interested in doing either a movie review or a museum review, please contact the managing editors.
