These instructions are for, if you completely broke your blend door using the infamous blend door fix.

1997 Ford Explorer V8 AWD
Blenddoor located on the passenger side near the back. Is viewable without removing the glove box.

I performed the blend door fix, after 1 month, everything broke off =(

Look, its the blend door, I've never seen anyone else post pictures of it =)

This is the bottom of the heater plenum, I cut out a triangle following the shape of the bottom of the box using a dremel tool and cutting wheel.

OOH Look, its the blend door. The little pieces of the blend door are still inside the heater plenum.

I used super glue to glue the pieces back on the blend door.

In the end i had to cut out the whole triangle, I did not want to do this. The blend door is back in the heater plenum.

I used silicon adhesive to put the panel back that I cut out.

One more thing, you can't turn the thermostat controls all the way to the left or right or else the door will break again. I turn mine no more then a little past 3 oclock and 9 oclock.
